Topical Betamethasone Valerate 0.1% W/V vs. Topical Ketoconazole 2% W/V: A Comparison of Efficacy in Patients of Seborrheic Dermatitis

Objective: To compare the efficacy of topical Betamethasone valerate 0.1% w/v and Ketoconazole 2% in patients seborrheic dermatitis.
 Study Design: Comparative prospective study.
 Place Duration Study: Department Dermatology, Pak Emirates Military Hospital Rawalpindi Pakistan from Feb to Aug 2019.
 Methodology: A total 80 both genders with dermatitis were included. Patients divided into two groups randomly, 40 each group. Group-A given w/v, while Group-B for 12 weeks. Data regarding was assessed after weeks per operational definition noted.
 Results: The mean age group 34.45 ± 6.73 years, 32.18 6.07 years. majority patients, 54 (67.50%), between 15 35 years age. Efficacy (topical 0.1%) seen (87.50%) 2%) 25 (62.50%) (p-value = 0.010).
 Conclusion: This study concluded that is higher than dermatitis.
